The “world’s leading streaming media conference,” Streaming Media East, is returning to Boston, May 23-25, 2022. Both in-person and virtual attendees will see where online video is going and how to get there first. They will join industry peers to learn, share, and celebrate the disruptive trends shaping the future of digital media.

DiscoverVideo’s, founder and CEO, Rich Mavrogeanes, will participate in a panel with Robert Reinhardt, CTO of videoRx, Igor Oreper, VP of Solutions at Bitmovin, and Scott Nelson, Director of Instructional Media, Office of Distance Education and Elearning at Ohio State University. Their topic will be “Using Cloud-Based Video Services for the Enterprise & Education.” The session is Tuesday, May 24 2022, from 3:45 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Their session discusses the deployment options for cloud-based services for enterprise and education. They will focus on two primary methods of moving services to the cloud: encoding and media management. The session addresses many questions around cloud-based services, including bandwidth concerns, pricing, and security.

Streaming Texas K-12 CTO Summer Clinic

The Texas K-12 CTO Council, state chapter of the Consortium for School Networking [CoSN] and the premier organization for chief technology officers in Texas schools, “called all Ed Tech Super Heroes” to the 2021 Texas CTO Clinic June 16-17, 2021.

DiscoverVideo joins Digital Learning Conference hosted by Region 4 Education Service Center of Houston, TX, January 12, 2020

Pat Cassella, VP of Sales at DiscoverVideo, will be explaining best practices to create, manage, deliver, and measure video content and engagement in the digital classroom.

Learn about a customizable single system that can broadcast school video news, facilitate hybrid learning, create and control digital signage and IPTV across a district, and more. Pat will be speaking at 9:30AM (CST) and 1:15PM (CST).

The host, Region 4 Education Service Center, serves a seven-county area in Houston, TX, composed of 50 public school districts and 45 public charter schools, representing more than 1.1 million students, 87,000 educators, and 1,500 campuses.

The free conference begins at 8:00 am (CST) with the keynote “Are We Ready to be Future Ready?,” from Carl Hooker.

Mr. Hooker has been a part of a strong educational shift with technology integration during his 21 years in education. As Director of Innovation & Digital Learning at Eanes ISD, in Austin, TX, he helped spearhead the LEAP program, which put one-to-one iPads in the hands of all K–12 students in his 8000-student district. He’s also the author of the six-book series titled Mobile Learning Mindset, a guide for teachers, administrators, parents and others to support and embrace mobile learning in our schools. He’s also a keynote speaker and a consultant for multiple school districts across the country and a Future Ready Schools national advisor.
